Decals installation

Please note when installing all vinyl decals, bumper inserts or graphics, the vehicle body and vinyl products should be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature greatly affects the installation process and the decals become easier for you to damage. It is recommended to install the decals in a garage not in exterior.

Please read instructions completely before attempting to install decals!
Never allow paper backing of the decal to get wet. You will not be able to remove the decal from backing!

Always clean car thoroughly where decal is to be applied. The surface needs to be free of wax, dirt and other foreign substances before decal is installed. Use warm water for best results.

WET APPLICATION:

Step 1: Clean entire surface area thoroughly where decal will be applied with rubbing alcohol or soapy water.

Step 2: Obtain a spray bottle & fill with water & a few drops of soap.

Step 3: Remove decal from backing and spray tacky side of the decal & area to be applied with water thoroughly.

Step 4: Apply decal to desired area & slide into position.

Step 5: Take out water with fingers or squeegee starting from the center area of the decal. Work the water to the edges until decal become intact.

Step 6 (optional): Obtain a heat source such as a blow dryer or heat gun and apply heat to the decal. Be careful not to overheat decal since melting will occur. Apply heat until decal is dried thoroughly.

Note: If you don’t get the water out from under the decal it may result in some bubbles. Just simply use a stickpin to poke them and push the water out.

DRY APPLICATION:

Note: This installation procedure is not for bumper inserts or body graphics. This is for small decals.

Method 1: Freehand installation.
Locate general area for which decal is to be applied. Remove paper backing from decal. Use both hands and hold decal close to where it will be applied. Lightly apply it to the surface and use thumbs, working from the center outwards. Increase pressure after decal has been stuck until decal is intact. Then remove application tape slowly.

Method 2: Hinge Method, you will need masking tape. Measure or locate decal to where it is to be applied. Tape it to the surface. Flip decal so paper backing is showing and remove it. Lay decal, you may do this with fingers but a squeegee is best or a credit card will work fine.
REMEMBER THE TAPE IS A HINGE!

ALWAYS USE PATIENT WHEN INSTALLING DECALS.

BRAKE LIGHT DECAL INSTALLATION

Remove 3rd brake light where decal is to be applied if the light is not easily accessible while installed. Most cars have two screws that hold the brake light on. Some vehicles may require removing the screws from backside of the brake light. They will be located in the trunk or under the trunk lid of the vehicle. They may also be held on with clips or other fastening devices.

After brake light is removed, follow the same instructions for applying bumper inserts.
